UPL operates and maintains natural gas distribution services for over 55,000 customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Indiana. Keystone Co-operative, proudly serving Cambria & Somerset county, and Knox Energy Co-operative proudly serving McKean, Washington, Elk, Clarion & Butler county Pennsylvania are under the management of UPL.  UPL has a highly regarded reputation with the Public Utility Commission based on our commitment to maintaining our systems at the highest level.  Established in 1995, UPL was formed for the purpose of providing natural gas service to communities not being served by Ohio's various utility companies. Through strategic business arrangements, UPL has extended its operations throughout many communities expanding by installing new pipelines into existing un-served communities, establishing service in new real estate developments, and the acquisition of smaller existing natural gas pipeline systems.
